Someone To Watch Over Me (George Gershwin)

Another old standard which is a good practice tune for the whistle. A couple of reasons for using this is that there are plenty of long notes, which is always good practice for tone and there is a cross fingered  A#. The tune starts with a dotted rhythm and in part B subtly changes to crotchets (quarter notes) then returns back to the main theme. It's a good idea to listen to the song if possible to get a flavour.
